Doing stealth in games not specifically designed for it is always a risky endeavor. While GTA Online does it better than a lot of other games, it still slows down the pace of gameplay and becomes extremely frustrating if you fail too often for mistakes you feel like you didn't make.
Because of this, the next heist should eschew stealth, or at least always make it optional. The writing in GTA Online is fine, but it is nothing compared to the snappy dialogue and relationships of the single-player campaign. While many are in it for the meta and character progression, plenty of players would also appreciate a more well-written heist with real emotional stakes. We are motivated by money, but we would also like to complete a heist because of the characters and writing.
This is already a thing in some of the heists, but mysteriously absent in the Cayo Perico heist. This is probably because the developer wanted players to be able to tackle the heist alone. Those who work together with other players may feel a little cheated if asymmetrical objectives between friends are gone to accommodate those who go in solo.
Having players tackle different tasks at the same time achieves a deeper level of teamwork.
