The short film is far less astonishing in animation than the original films, which is not surprising, but disappointing nevertheless. At least there's the original voicecast and all the voices are again harmonious. The story isn't really interesting, but in the legend of the Boneknapper Dragon told by Gobbler in flashbacks there are some hand-drawn animations that had their own style and were quite nice.
Acceptable as a bonus, but not really recommendable due to some misplaced exaggerated slapstick jokes that don't match the tone of the main movies. The bit with the frozen Vikings was hilarious. Also, the 2-D animation looks fantastic. This has to be the best short film I have ever watched. The movie is so fun to watch. This short feels like it's a really long end credit scene to the first film. And this short do. Its animation looks just like the film.
