Windows server 2008 r2 caldav

Important Windows 7 hotfixes and Windows Server R2 hotfixes are included in the same packages. However, hotfixes on the Hotfix Request page are listed under both operating systems. Always refer to the "Applies To" section in articles to determine the actual operating system that each hotfix applies to. GDR service branches contain only those fixes that are widely released to address widespread, very important issues.

LDR service branches contain hotfixes in addition to widely released fixes. The security catalog files, for which the attributes are not listed, are signed with a Microsoft digital signature. On the taskbar, hold down the Windows key, and then press the X key. Click Control Panel. The WebDAV extension module makes it easy to add WebDAV publishing to existing sites by providing you with a wizard that walks you through all of the required steps. In this first step, we add WebDAV publishing to the Default Web site, and add the required settings to allow the local administrator account to edit the content.

Select Read , Source , and Write for the permissions. As mentioned earlier, your default request filtering settings may block several file types from WebDAV authoring. If you do not modify your request filtering settings, you may see various errors when you try to publish files that are blocked.

For example, if you attempt to upload or download a web. In this step, you log in using your administrator account. Double-click the Authentication feature. When the Authentication feature opens, make sure that Windows Authentication is enabled. If it is not enabled, select Windows Authentication , and click Enable in the Action menu. Double-click the Authorization Rules feature. When the Authorization feature opens, make sure that an Allow rule is defined that includes the administrator account.

For example, the default rule for IIS allowing access to All Users will include the administrator account. You now have a drive mapped to your WebDAV-enabled web site using the local administrator account, and based on the authorization rule that we added in Step 1, you have Read, Write, and Source access to the content folder.

Be aware there are issues with having WebDav client side working on Win7. Most likely Microsoft took away the support of WebDav to promote their own proprietary solutions. You will need a 3 party client to access. I have installed NetDrive that so far works OK.

NetDrive is free for private use. I read somewhere that it does not support Win 64 bit. Great if someone will give more tips on clients and workarounds for Win7 and WebDav. I am no expert on this, I just lean on what others already have shared. But as far as I found no one made a simple list, and certainly no one included all steps — thus leaving me wonder whether I have done all right.

Hopefully you will find all steps here. As I am no expert I am not sure whether all is correct or may be something is missing. So please feel free to add comments!

Thank you! The configurations described here are all done in IIS Manager. IIS must be installed on your sever. Prepare a folder on your server for WebDav 1. Make a folder on your servers HD you would like to use as your WebDav folder. You might share this only to yourself or to others as well. Physical path should point to the folder you just made.
