I get a failure to connect via TCP. Because of this, it seems there is something on the machine that is sometimes blocking the outgoing port I do not have any third party Anti-Virus or Security Software on these machines.
These systems are a default installation of Windows and none of the applications I have installed should be blocking an outgoing SMTP port on the server. I've disabled the Windows firewall and even went as far as disabling some of the other security features built into the server such as the threat protection.
Nothing seems to affect this issue. I also did not find any relevant Windows Event Logs denoting that an application was blocked. Through some Google searching, I did find this post from another user on this forum:. This seems to be the similar symptom, but his workaround did not solve my issue. In addition, my testing above shows that this isn't a SMTP issue, its a port blocking issue. Thanks for the sharing the issue and resolution here.
